Fred Carver, 88, Rockville, died 7 p.m. Tuesday in Vermillion Convalescent Center at Clinton. Mr. Carver worked as a farmer and a construction supervisor for McDougal-Hartman at Peoria, Ill. He was a 50-year member of the Waveland Lodge No. 300 Free & Accepted Masons. He was born Sept. 15, 1915 at Kenney, Ill., to John F. and Mattie Bea Matthews Carver. He married Anna Catherine Tharp and later married Maxine McCallister. They are deceased. Survivors include two daughters, Alice Wilkinson, Peoria, Ill., and Lou Swaim, Rockville; two brothers, Rodney, Rockville, and Russell, Anaheim, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Barnes Mortuary, 111 E. High St., Rockville. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.
